Challenge

During COVID lockdowns, classes were virtual and public schools were not serving lunches. For many students on the free lunch program, that is the only meal they can count on each weekday. 

The Cabinet had funding allocated to provide money for groceries to these students. But many families did not know of this benefit. The message needed to get out quickly as the deadline for application was only three weeks away.

Solution

Wild Olive Design helped them reach out to their audience with advertising and social media posts that encourages the parents of public school students to apply for Pandemic-EBT, an electronic card providing grocery money to make up for missed school meals. 

The campaign was so successful in fall of 2020, that we created more graphics in 2021 to get the word out for the following spring and summer.
